Conveyors

Whether there is a need to transport material over short or long distances, the conveyors are a cost-effective solution for transporting powders and granules. We develop a wide range of pneumatic and mechanical conveying systems for companies in the feed and food business. They are designed according to specific customer needs and to the strictest hygienic standards, and offer our clients a flexible solution for the supply, retrieval and conveyance of powders, granules and flakes.

Screw Conveyors

Feed Technologies supplies screw conveyors for horizontal or inclined transport of bulk materials. The capacity and variety of products that can be handled are exceptionally high. Screw conveyors are also used as feeders and as means to discharge equipment in U-shaped troughs under storage silos or hoppers. Intermediate outlets can be provided between the intake and the final discharge point. The conveyor is usually driven by a gear motor, directly coupled to the shaft or fitted with a chain drive.

Bucket Elevators

Elevator based systems are reliable, energy-efficient, less susceptible to contamination, and require low maintenance. Continuous vertical transport of granular or powder bulk material is achieved in an efficient manner using a series of elevator buckets attached to a belt at regular intervals. A drive pulley at the top, a lower pulley with a tensioning device at the base, a casing and appropriate inlet and discharge chutes complete the assembly. Both gravity and centrifugal discharges can be designed.

Pneumatic Conveying

Air-based conveying systems are frequently used to convey bulk goods between process and storage units through sometimes intricate patterns. Vacuum conveyors can be used to convey powders, granules and flakes with the help of a controlled flow of air or gas and make it possible to convey ingredients from one or more inlet points to a single receiving or handling point. With pressures below atmospheric, there is practically no release of dust or fine particles to the surroundings. In pressure conveying, air or gas pushes the material forward. The blower is placed at the start of the system, which makes it possible to transport ingredients from a single input location to one or more receiving points. P&K Process Innovations can supply simple dilute phase conveyors in which the material is mixed with large quantities of air/gas. This method is characterized by relatively high conveying speeds and low loading levels, thereby minimizing damage to the product. The relatively large flow of air used in dilute phase conveying makes it possible to cool and partially dry the product during conveying. Dilute phase conveyors are reliable and robust.
