Product Uniformity and Consistency
Our equipment integrates novel designs that distribute air and product in such a way that constant product properties are obtained over time. Advanced control algorithms react to changing conditions in air temperature or humidity and automatically adjust circulating air flow rate in order to achieve product consistency. Variable frequency, direct drive fans and air distribution ductwork provide uniform airflow across the entire product bed, minimizing moisture deviation and providing flexibility for efficient drying or cooling, regardless of product size, shape and density.

Feed-Pro dryers and coolers incorporate features aimed to reduce the energy consumption of the process. Full insulation in main chamber and ductwork, reduced air speed in ducts, careful selection of air recirculation and exhaust fans, minimum use of electrical power-consuming components, and optimization of circulation and exhaust air volumes, contribute to an efficient operation.

Only those variables that are relevant for efficient operation and product quality are part of the control strategy. This also reduces the learning curve required by the operator and the amount of variables that must be controlled.
Simple Operation

Compared to other dryer and cooler designs, the use of gravity reduces the amount of moving parts involved in handling the product. Moving elements are manufactured with large safety margins and full access is provided through large inspection hatches. This is supplemented by a heavy-duty, fully-welded frame design, selection of appropriate materials and ease of installation due to its modular construction.

Food Safety
Clean processing and safety are critical concerns for food processors so all the designs incorporate unique customer requirements for sanitation and cleaning. With a design that is inherently clean, dryers and coolers have minimal horizontal surfaces that prevent material build up and minimize product cross contamination. By avoiding fines generation and properly sizing the air ducts, cross contamination and downtime are further reduced. Our standard designs include stainless steel in all product contact and high corrosion areas.
